Description
Zildjian 9.5" FX Large Zil-Bel
Designed with Primus drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander, the Zil-Bel is a specialty effects cymbal with a large, deep bell shape that produces a bright, clear, musical tone unlike anything else on a standard cymbal stand. Weighs approximately 1309g in Zildjian's heavy weight class.
How the 9.5" Sounds
Deeper and more resonant than the Small — its bigger bell shape produces a lower, church-bell-like tone with a longer, singing sustain.
Benefits
- Clear, cutting, linear bell sound with a long, ringing sustain
- Cuts through a mix for accents that stand apart from the rest of the kit
- Mount regularly or inverted for two distinct tonal options
Construction
- Alloy: B20 cast bronze (80% copper, 20% tin)
- Weight class: Heavy (~1309g)
- Finish: Brilliant
- Diameter: 9.5"
Pairs Well With
The 6" Small Zil-Bel — use both together for a high/low bell combination, or on their own as a standalone accent.
