This model — the Mid-Size 6-In-Line — is Top Lock's compact option for smaller headstocks, without giving up any of the locking function or tuning stability of the full-size Top Lock keys. It's the modern, staggered-post counterpart to Top Lock's more traditionally-styled Vintage locking tuners — same lock-solid engineering, aimed at a sleeker, contemporary build.
What the locking mechanism actually gets you: an easy-to-use lock wheel on the back of each key clamps the string in place after just a wrap or two, instead of the many winds a standard tuner needs — meaning faster string changes and dramatically less tuning drift from string slippage at the post.
What else makes these genuinely "Top Lock" rather than a basic locking tuner:
- Staggered posts — eliminate the need for a string tree entirely, giving every string its correct break angle off the nut
