Description
The TonePros AVR2P is a locking, exact-fit replacement for the ABR-1 style bridges found on older and vintage instruments — think '50s/'60s-spec Les Paul, SG, and ES-style guitars. It keeps the classic ABR-1 look and feel while adding TonePros' locking hardware and pre-notched brass saddles for an easier setup than a stock ABR-1.
Key Benefits
- Locking posts thread directly into the guitar body, improving vibration transfer and eliminating bridge rattle
- Pre-notched saddles make string slotting easier — no blank saddles to file yourself
- Saddles are engineered to sit solid against the retainer wire instead of lifting, for more consistent intonation
- Wider intonation range than a stock vintage ABR-1
- Direct retrofit for Gibson USA ABR-1 bridge posts — no modification needed
Features
- Zamak bridge body with brass saddles and brass posts/thumbwheels
- 6/32 US thread (ABR-1 thread) — note this is different from TonePros' Nashville-spec bridges, which use 10/32 thread
- Height-adjustable via thumbwheels, individually intonatable saddles
- Locking set screws keep the bridge fixed in place during string changes
