Sabian 22" HH Todd Sucherman Sessions Ride Cymbal
The HH Sessions Ride is a collaboration between Sabian's Master Artisans and Todd Sucherman, drummer for Styx and a widely respected session and clinic artist. Handcrafted in the Sabian factory, this ride was designed to be Todd's own studio ride of choice — heavily hand hammered, then hand lathed to create multiple thicknesses across its surface, then hand hammered a second time. The bell's pitch is deliberately tuned higher than the cymbal's tonic note, giving the Sessions Ride a distinct character as both a studio weapon and a live-stage monster.
Key Benefits
- Bold articulation with a pleasant splash on the slap, a complex spread, and a massive crash from one cymbal
- Bell pitched higher than the cymbal's tonic note, giving it a distinctive dual-purpose voice
- Designed hands-on with Todd Sucherman specifically as his own studio recording ride
- Double hand-hammering process (hammer, lathe, hammer again) creates varying surface thickness for tonal complexity

Player Notes
This is a genuine signature artist collaboration, not just a marketing name — Todd Sucherman's actual signature is engraved on the underside of the raw bell. Reviewers who've recorded with it describe it doing double duty as both a precise studio ride and a cymbal that holds up on a loud stage, largely thanks to the deliberately higher-pitched bell design.
