Description
Sabian 18" AAX X-Plosion Crash Cymbal - Brilliant Finish
Sabian's AAX Series delivers the "Modern Bright" sound — consistently bright, crisp, clear, and cutting. The X-Plosion Crash (as opposed to the thinner X-Plosion Fast Crash) is built for fuller, punchier power with more shimmer and sustain in the burst. At 18", it's the largest size offered in this specific Crash (not Fast Crash) line.
Key Benefits
- Fuller, punchier burst with more shimmer and sustain than the X-Plosion Fast Crash at the same size

Player Notes
A direct acoustic comparison between this 18" X-Plosion Crash and the 18" X-Plosion Fast Crash found this standard version's tonal peak sits around 2.7kHz, versus 3.9kHz for the Fast Crash — a measurable, audible difference that confirms the Crash's warmer, less aggressively bright character, along with a slightly slower decay than the Fast Crash at the same size.
