Description
Sabian 17" XSR Fast Crash Cymbal
Made from pure B20 bronze using technology developed for Sabian's Evolution and X-Plosion lines, the XSR Series delivers premium tone and playability at a smart price point. Sitting between the 16" and 18" in the Fast Crash run, the 17" splits the difference — a touch more wash and lower pitch than the 16", while staying quicker to open up than the fuller 18", making it a good pick for players who find the more common sizes either too tight or too big for their setup.

- A middle-ground voice between the brighter 16" and fuller 18" — more wash than the 16", faster decay than the 18"
- Combines thin-cymbal speed with medium-weight power for a crash that still projects
- Fills the gap for players who want a size not commonly stocked by other brands

- Thin-to-medium weight response profile

Player Notes
The 17" is a less commonly stocked in-between size across the cymbal market generally, which makes it a useful pick for players who've found their favorite crash sound sits between the typical 16" and 18" options. Its profile height (1.6") is a step up from the 16" (1.3"), consistent with the added body and slightly lower pitch you'd expect moving up in size.
