Description
CTS's premium-tier 282-series pot — a genuine step above their standard split-shaft potentiometer. The sealed construction protects the internal resistive element from dust, moisture, and contamination that can eventually cause the scratchy, crackly noise players associate with a worn-out pot, while the tighter 10% tolerance (versus 15-20% on standard CTS pots) means more consistent, predictable feel from unit to unit. The 500K value is the standard choice for humbucker-equipped guitars, preserving more top-end brightness than a 250K pot.
Benefits:
- Sealed construction resists the dust and moisture ingress that leads to scratchy pot noise over time
- Tighter 10% tolerance for more consistent, predictable feel
- 500K resistance keeps humbucker tone bright and open
- Backed by a lifetime warranty
Features:
- 500K ohm resistance, special audio (log) taper
- Split shaft
- Sealed housing
