A dual-gang potentiometer built specifically for blending two signal sources — turn it one way to favor one source, the other way for the second, with a center detent giving you a reliable, felt reference point for an even 50/50 blend. Common applications include blending a bridge and neck pickup on a Jazz Bass-style control layout, or blending a piezo/pickup signal on an acoustic-electric with dual pickup systems. The higher 500K resistance is typically chosen when blending brighter or higher-impedance sources, such as humbucker pickups.
