A mini-format 500K audio taper potentiometer, ideal for compact control cavities or builds where a full-size CTS pot won't fit — common on smaller-bodied guitars, custom control layouts, and effects pedal builds. 500K pots are the standard choice for humbucker-equipped guitars, since their higher resistance preserves more of a humbucker's natural high-end brightness compared to the darker roll-off you'd get from a 250K pot (the more common choice for single-coil pickups).
