Description
A modern-production tone capacitor built to true vintage specs, sonically comparable to the legendary (and now discontinued) Sprague Vitamin Q capacitors prized by vintage guitar collectors. These are among the only new mil-spec capacitors still being manufactured in the USA, using genuine kraft paper-in-oil construction inside a hermetically sealed metal tubular case with sealed glass ends — not a modern film capacitor dressed up with vintage-style graphics.
About this value: .047uf is the most commonly used capacitance for single-coil pickup tone circuits — a great starting point if you're upgrading a stock ceramic disc cap to something with more vintage-correct tonal character.
Benefits:
- True vintage paper-in-oil construction for authentic vintage tone character
- Mil-spec sealed construction for long-term reliability
- Accurate ±10% tolerance, made in the USA
Features:
- Capacitance: .047uf
- Voltage rating: 300V
- Sturdy 20 AWG copper-clad steel leads
- Non-polarized (no positive/negative orientation to worry about)
- Classic vintage-style red and cream graphics
Specifications:
- Dimensions: 0.875" length x 0.40" diameter
