Description
Alvarez Yairi DYM70 Yairi Masterworks Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, the Alvarez Yairi DYM70 represents the pinnacle of the Yairi Masterworks series — a professional-grade dreadnought built from premium tonewoods aged naturally for 5 to 15 years in the ideal climate of Gifu prefecture. The result is an instrument of exceptional stability, resonance, and long-term performance.
The DYM70 pairs a Solid AAA Sitka Spruce top with Solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides — the gold standard combination for powerful, dynamic acoustic tone. Bass, mids, and trebles work in perfect balance across a vast dynamic range, whispering softly with a light touch and singing boldly when pushed hard. It suits fingerpicking, strumming, flatpicking, and everything in between.
Two standout engineering innovations set the DYM70 apart. The Extended Dovetail Neck Joint maximizes energy transfer between neck and body for superior sustain and long-term stability. The Direct Coupled Bridge drives the string pins directly into the soundboard, increasing break angle and string tension for a more responsive feel with enhanced volume and sustain.
Hand-carved FST6 Forward Shifted Asymmetric Tone Bar bracing opens up the soundboard for maximum projection and tonal balance — carved by hand, not CNC-cut.
Hardware is spec'd to match: Gotoh 510 Gold tuners with Ebony buttons, a real Bone nut and saddle, an Ebony fingerboard and Direct Coupled Bridge, Abalone and Mother of Pearl inlays, Ivoroid binding, and D'Addario EXP16 strings. Includes a Deluxe Wood Case.
